About Us - Mountain West Chorale
Our Story
The Mountain West Chorale, from Salt lake City, Utah, was founded in 1980 and includes performers from throughout the Salt Lake Valley and along the Wasatch Front (Extended Greater Salt Lake Region). They have showcased their talents by performing in various prestigious venues, including St. Basils Cathedral in Los Angles, the Old Soldiers Fort in Seattle, the Tony-Award winning Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City, multiple patriotic tours in Yellowstone, the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii, New York City, Washington, DC, in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, and other Caribbean venues. The chorale was invited to sing at the White House in December of 1986. In 2007 they performed as part of the 400 year anniversary of the Jamestown settlement in the Bruton Parish in Colonial Williamsburg, VA. On September 11, 2010, the Mountain West Chorale was one of four groups invited to perform at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square to help celebrate their 30th year concert series. The Mountain West Chorale performs a wide repertoire of music from Baroque, classical, and Renaissance to contemporary, religious, and patriotic, literature. They perform regularly at the Assembly Hall in the Temple Square Concert Series in Salt Lake City and many events throughout the state of Utah.
